Name: Think of a character - Advanced
Objective: To guess the name of a Bible character by asking questions about him or her.
Prerequisites: Players must know about the life and activities of Bible characters like Abraham, Joseph, and David and
so
on.
Preparation: For beginning Bible students, you may ask them to study about 12 characters before they are eligible to
participate in this game. You may also limit the choice of characters to those the group has studied. As the group becomes
more mature Bible students, the choice of characters widens to include the entire Bible.
Number of players: Small or large group, entire congregation
Material: None
Procedure:
1. Choose a player. He stands in front of the group.
2. The player says “I am thinking of a character”. But he/she does not say the name of the character that he /she is
thinking about.
3. The members of the group take turns to find out the name of the player's character. ;
One member says, for example, “Are you thinking about the man who built and ark?
Player answers: “No. I am not thinking about Noah.” He/She must know the name of the character that built an ark.
Another member asks: “Are you thinking about the person who was thrown in a pit?
Player answers: “I am not thinking about Joseph.”
Member: “Well. I wasn't thinking about Joseph”
Player answers: “Oh, I am not thinking about Daniel”
A 3rd Member Asks: “Are you thinking about Isaac's father? (This question is too easy. It is a giveaway).
Player answers. Yes, I am thinking about Abraham. The first player returns to the group, and the 3rd member takes his
place, and the game continues.
Conclusion: If the player does not know the name of a character that a member asks about, he is out.
Note: The player must not change the character that he is thinking about in mid game. He/She must keep the same
unmentioned character until someone guesses who he/she is thinking about.

Name: It reminds me -( group game)
Objective: To correctly link an object to as many Bible stories/events as required.
Prerequisites: Participants should know several Bible stories
Preparation: For beginning Bible students or for youth meetings; read Bible stories that include the objects you plan to use. See material
Materials: Objects such as a leaf, a fruit, a small branch, a small piece of stick, wood, bread, or a bottle of water.
Players: small groups, teams or an entire congregation; 5-7 players if players compete individually.
Procedure:
1. Divide participants into two teams.
2. Give each team an item from materials.
3. Each team takes turn to mention (specifically) what their item reminds them of. For example:
Team 1 This water reminds me of the waters of the Red Sea that God parted for the Israelites to cross through. (Team 1 has the bottle of water).
Team 2 (has the bread) This bread reminds me of the bread (and fish) that Jesus broke to feed the multitude.
Team 1 This water reminds me of the water in which Philip baptized the Ethiopian
Conclusion: The game continues until one team takes too long to answer or runs out of relevant information. (You may time the teams) Hence, the other team wins, but not so fast! One member of that team must say one more thing that the item reminds them of.
Note: If information is too far-fetched, non-specific, it could be rejected.
